2. The Brutalist Rules Engine (MVP)
To unlock untapped segments of BeReal's Total Addressable Market (TAM), I developed RealTalk: a text-only, anti-vanity engine embedded natively within the core feed layout. RealTalk targets the massive subset of text-first authenticity seekers who traditionally migrate toward information hubs like X or Reddit but are actively fatigued by algorithmic echo chambers, bot farms, and performative brand management.
RealTalk scored a dominant 24.0 on our RICE prioritization matrix (Reach: 10, Impact: 3, Confidence: 0.8, Effort: 1), presenting an exceptional return on engineering investment. The initial MVP guidelines enforced total visual minimalism to counter overthinking and digital performance: a strict 5-minute typing canvas (300,000 milliseconds), a hard system-level clipboard block on copy-pasting to explicitly ensure real-time human generation, and an automated system that applies bold-weight formatting to the first sentence to establish a stark visual heading directly on the timeline without text-decoration utilities or algorithmic sorting filters.
